The stench of haters! Not exclusive - enjoy playing it on your PS3 or Wii then. Only on XBLA - oh no, it must be downloaded instead of bought in a box! Kinect game - not hardcore, lol, so suddenly the Steel Battalion and Panzer Dragoon series 'aren't hardcore'. They could release God Hand 2 on Kinect and it still 'wouldn't be hardcore' to some, presumably compared to God of War or some shit.
List is goddamn EPIC.
Good games have always been able to inspire, as well as making players think, strategise and develop skills!
Indie games are cheap crap made by amateurs and played by little hipsters who want to seem 'cool' and 'different'.
All of the games you mention rock, so this is a case of sales being all-important whenever it suits.
If anything its fate rests on Jutekki, which anyone who actually cares about playing cool videogames should be looking forward to with glee.
It took him eight years to make a 2D platform game, lol.
The review explains why the game is rubbish, videos show how it's ripping off Super Paper Mario, and anyone with eyes can see it's ugly.
Lots of people are quite rightly not buying it because it looks crap, added to the fact the guy slammed Japan's game design masters despite taking six years to make a 2D platform game.
Modern Japanese games suck? Oh right, so only Bayonetta, Metal Gear Solid 4, Child of Eden, Vanquish, Resident Evil 5, Gran T...
Game looks ugly as its designer's face, concept is pinched shamelessly from Super Paper Mario.
Review makes it sound like the typical modern indie 2D platform game in that you can't die, can't fail and will blow "through numerous stages in a short span of time".
In other words.. your game sucks.
*edited for 'bad language', lol. Truth bombs hurt.
Game looks ugly as fuck, concept is pinched shamelessly from Super Paper Mario.

It was my favourite in the series, and it's still only a 3/5 game at best.
Clicked to find out what an 'amateur wizard' is.. disappointed.
Do you want to miss out on Jutekki and Crimson Dragon? I sure as hell don't!
I definitely think the emphasis is being put on 'sad' or 'thoughtful' games. Kara, Naughty Dog on how their next title will "teach us about the human experience", the indie movement..
As for Journey.. maybe the 'something' you felt playing it was 'bored'?
I mean, there wasn't anything to accomplish, and plenty of games let you find a friend through drop-in online co-op.
Tapped in to somethin...
It's a mistake to think evoking sad emotions is the holy grail of videogames, so many games try it and just end up being laughable. I've no idea why Journey made people cry, other than in the "I wasted money on this crap" sense, heh.
Compare it to the emotions that are stirred in playing MAG amongst 256 players; rocket-boosting around the battlefield in Vanquish; shooting light beams from your fingertips in Child of Eden; drifting your Ferrari around OutRu...
Just incase: http://www.meta-metacritic....
They must put a bit of work in to this - and clearly had some fun with it.
Oh wow! Too good.
I totally agree with this article, SMG-2 was like more of the same and its new power-ups, Yoshi, supposed higher difficulty level all disappointed.
Seems quite a few people here agree!
Some of the opinions these guys come out with in this article are jaw-dropping.
Make cheap, shitty hardware and release lots of non-games from amateurs and indies? Bring on board people who worked on the failed Eye Toy for Kinect development?
It's not 1 April yet guys. Keep the indie games in the cellar and make sure it's locked.
It's the future of gaming.. 'interactive story telling' sounds rubbish.
In another 'the world through Sony goggles' article, the 360 has no games, all of Microsoft's triple-A studios have been dissolved, the Nintendo Wii doesn't exist, VG Chartz is a reputable source of sales data, etc.
Well said man. The indie guys are basically coming in about 20 years late with inferior, glitchy, ugly, boring 2D platformers.
Japan's like BAM, New Super Mario Bros, POW, Mega Man 9, SMACK, Hard Corps Uprising, slaps them all over the place.
